</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
Was ist Heimat eigentlich?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Was vielleicht mal als Hirngespinst angefangen hat, wurde u.a. durch die Reha weiter angekurbelt. Ich brauche ein neues Ziel.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>

</div>
<div>After being diagnosed with burnout in December 2023, it completely knocked me off my feet. It took over a year before I saw any improvement. My rehabilitation program, which took place in December 2024, was probably a key factor.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There, I had the opportunity to give a short presentation about my experiences on the Camino de Santiago, which was very well received.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I walked my first Camino, the Camino Francés from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Saint-Côte d'Azur, continuing on to Fisterra and Muxi, between August 29th and October 2nd, 2015.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This wouldn't be my last Camino. The very next year, I decided to walk the Camino Portugués from Porto to Saint-Côte d'Azur. That was the final straw. However, it would be 2023 before I walked another Camino.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I started the Camino del Norte on August 27, 2023, in Irun and arrived in San Candido (SdC) two days earlier than planned, on October 5, 2023. I spent those two days there before heading back home. What does "home" even mean?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was born in Germany but emigrated to Austria in 2013. Do I feel at home here? Not really!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I feel it's time to embark on a new chapter in my life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My gut tells me the Camino should become my new home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every time I've walked the Camino, it's felt like I belong here.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What might have started as a pipe dream was further fueled, among other things, by my rehabilitation. I need a new goal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I want to share some of what I've experienced and learned on the Caminos with other pilgrims. This is how the idea of opening my own hostel on one of the Camino de Santiago routes came about.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The location has already been chosen. It will be the Camino del Norte, which has particularly captivated me. I plan to realize this project within the next 3-5 years, as it requires a great deal of planning, preparation, and financial resources.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you would like to support this project, I would be incredibly grateful. Should the project not proceed as planned, the money will be demonstrably donated to social organizations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For the sake of transparency, there will be a blog or video diary documenting the progress.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>According to an architect's assessment, the renovation costs will be approximately €250,000.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The purchase price and associated costs amount to approximately €90,000.
