Funeral Expenses For My Mum Judith Agono

Donation protected

It is with deep sorrow that the Family of Mr. William Akoo Agono (Kisumu Kadongo), son UsArmy Rtd. Snr. Sgt. Duncan Omondi Akoo (Hinesville Military Base) & I, Corazon Amol Akoo (Marietta, Ga) announce the death of our Mother & Wife Judith Agono Akoo in Marietta Ga.

Mom was diagnosed with gastric cancer in November 2016 following which,my parents managed to come to America on 11/17/2017 in search of better treatment. Mum was only given 6 months to live, but overcame the odds,  fighting fiercely through chemotherapy and radiation treatments. She was responding to treatment well, to the surprise of her doctors. we received positive news at every follow up, giving mum hope and strength to fight on.  It was during a routine  check-up in January, that they discovered that the tumors had spread,  thus requiring a more aggressive treatment. Despite the new treatment, Mum's health deteriorated drastically with the cancer metastasizing to her liver & Lymp nodes. At that point the Doctors knew they couldn't do any more treatment, a truly sad moment from which We transferred mum to a hospice.

Mum passed on Sunday 09/08/2019,  surrounded by family and friends. My Dad though strong and tested has been very instrumental in Mum's treatment. He has been at her side since day 1 and it breaks my heart to see his pain. (Dad & Mum had been married 56 years). Mum has been our family pillar ,offering wisdom and support.
Back in Kenya Mum has served in the Anglican Church as a chair , treasurer and  including serving at deanery level at local church. She was a strong believer in the virtue of Service . She truly gave herself wholeheartedly to the church.

We are happy and grateful to God for the time we got to spend with Mum. We as a family are requesting for help to take Mum back home to her final rest because we know we can not walk alone.

No donation is too little, All assistance emotionally and financially accorded will be much appreciated.
