Hospital bed for Daniel

Danny Pearson was injured around 1994 which resulted in him being paralyzed from the waist down. He spent nearly four years in a hospital rehab working hard with his dad and mom to regain his strength and the ability to walk again but finally had to do the best he could from home. Danny was able to get around okay in a wheelchair and did well until he became weaker and had to be in bed nearly all of the time. He has now been bed bound for almost eight years never leaving the house with the exception of several visits to the hospital in emergency status over the past several months. He finally was able to come home, however the bed he has now is too small and fragile and doesn't work well for his requirements.  He often suffers daily with  severe pain because he can't move around well in the current bed and needs more room to negotiate.


He really, really needs a larger and sturdier bed with accessories.  This will allow him to exercise and get stronger so that he can get well faster.   It will also permit him to finally sleep normally and enjoy basic comfort. 

Danny would like nothing more than to join us at the art gallery on First Fridays and enjoy life again the best that he can. The bed cost is beyond what we as his family can manage financially, but we know that once he gets that bed his life is going to turn around for the better since it will afford him greater movement and enable him to exercise and get strong again. We would all love to see him able to get outside again, see the sunsets,sunrises, birds, clouds, rainbows and all the things we all enjoy without thinking about it..he misses these things.

Any monies after the cost of the bed and etc. will be put toward other medical needs he may have. The bed with everything he needs is right around $5500. We don't like to ask for help, but we have no other way to get this bed.  We thank you for always being there for him all these years, supporting him and supporting his art and music. If you can't donate to this fund we understand completely. This is our last chance to get his new bed.
