Therapeutic Horses Healing Hearts

Hope Rising  Farm Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc 501(c)(3), located in beautiful Millerton, NY, serves adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Jacqueline McCabe Wikane became a Certified Professional Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning through PATH International in April of 2014. In June of 2017, Jacqueline purchased the farm with the hope and dream of bringing people with and without I/DD to a social/learning community that embraces and embodies everyone. 
As the owner of a not-for profit, with a start-up facility that needs to be brought up to the Professional Association of Therapeutic International (PATH) Standards, we are looking for help to continue our journey to create a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment.
Your donations will impact the lives of many people that come to our farm to help them benefit from Equine Assisted Activities. Benefits are evident in Physical, Cognitive, Sensory, Emotional and Social improvements. We invite and encourage each of you to help not only us but our participants on this farm to achieve our goals and dreams.
Due to the recent mandate by the government, related to COVID-19, we have not been able to welcome participants to our facility, which creates a unique financial hardship. We are continuing to care for our horses, so that when we all finally get through this, they will be ready to once again serve our community. But we can't do this without your help.
