PLEASE NOTE:  With permission of Jordan and Candice Camille.

It’s honestly a miracle that I can sit here and talk to Jordan, says his wife, Candice Camille as she tells the story of that tragic afternoon.

It was Saturday late afternoon- it was just getting dark out, Jordan was called to go look for some horses that were phoned into the band office as In Distress; the horses seemed to have been trapped and starved.
The plan was to head out early in the morning in daylight to search for them & to chase them into a safe spot to check them over.
Jordan had phoned to say He found only one horse and that he was going to arrange for a hauler to pick her up as she was very skinny, he couldn’t find the others...
25 mins later he called saying he ‘woke up & didn’t know where he was’ and Click he hung up on me.

Dialing 911 with a rough description of his last location

This part happened so horrendously fast & yet felt like a lifetime.

Candice’s thoughts were he came off the horse and perhaps had hypothermia from being in the cold all morning!
Never in any wildest dreams do you think he was calling after being hit by a train.

Candice was telling the operator to search for a horse!

Rory would not have left Jordan.

"Find the horse was all I kept telling them."

Emergency crews flying by Candice on the highway;

We have the rails ways report; everything happened so fast, it was a white out.

Rory was hit full on.
Throwing Jordan to safety
Saving Jordan’s life
and sacrificing his

Jordan’s memory of it all is shaky at best, the last thing he recalls is putting Rory on the road besides the tracks to move a horse to the under ground tunnel, he put his head down to block his eyes from the blasting snow... and woke up in ICU.

Rory.

How do you simply describe an everything horse?

There’s the basics, a coming 6 yo gelding that had a heart of gold, try of a lion and nature of a love bug, not only helped develop & create Jordan’s horsemanship in A short amount of time but also was claimed out right by our youngest son Hunter.

Hunter, Jordan and Candice's son, from the moment he met Rory, said “that’s my horse”. And he would remind Jordan every time we rode him or spoke about him. We were only allowed to be with Rory for his greater good haha and Rory could never do any wrong in Hunters eye.

Just recently Jordan rode Rory thru Sun Rivers, in Kamloops, to located a feral horse, and detour to the school where Hunter proudly showed everyone His horse.

Growing from a gangly youngster to the wisest youngster

Rory is a hero & a champion of hearts

Rory has always been held in regard as Our forever horse

Rory will be greatly missed & remembered fondly by us all  ️

We love to live our life in a way that fills our heart.
We are full time Horse trainers & owners, our family life revolves around the horses, having fun & spending this time with our young family.Jordan is a stage 5 horsemen-who he achieved by several horses including Rory.

Because Jordan's work requires him to ride horse, he will not be able to work for a while as he is still in hospital with a broken shoulder, lacerated kidney and a concussion. Jordan is stable and on the mend. Monies raised will be to help with medical expenses and to help cover living expenses for Jordan, his wife and 3 young boys, until he is able to work again.
