<div>Am vorletzten Tag unserer Afrika-Reise haben wir am Strand einen sehr sympathisch wirkenden jungen Mann getroffen. Er saß im Sand und hat mit viel Geschick Armbänder geknüpft. Wir kamen ins Gespräch, weil mein Sohn gern ein Armband wollte.

<div>Sein Name ist João, er ist 16 Jahre alt und lebt mit seiner Familie in Maputo, der Hauptstadt von Mosambik. Als wir unsere Namen für die Armbänder auf seinen Block geschrieben haben, sind mir direkt seine Zeichnungen aufgefallen. Wir haben sofort gemerkt, dass er richtig talentiert ist. Nebenbei hat er dann noch einen wunderschönen Delfin aus Sand gebaut.

<div>Im Gespräch erzählt er uns, dass er jeden Tag nach der Schule und an schulfreien Tagen an den Strand geht, um etwas Geld für seine Mama und seinen Geschwistern zu verdienen. Beim Reden ist uns aufgefallen, dass wir ziemlich laut sprechen mussten. João hat uns erzählt, dass an Silvester ein Böller direkt neben seinem Kopf explodiert ist und er seitdem sehr schlecht hört. Das mosambikanische Gesundheitssystem funktioniert leider etwas anders als in Deutschland und eine Krankenversicherung kann sich seine Familie nicht leisten.

<div>João ist ein beeindruckender junger Mann, in dem ein unglaubliches Talent steckt. Mit eurer Unterstützung möchten wir João den Traum von Hörgeräten erfüllen.
