It was a gift of great significance for the Fort Bragg Mom, who lost her husband three months earlier in Afghanistan. The gift she found on a cool October day at Hope Reins of Raleigh was Hope--and it came in the form of a smile on her nine-year-old daughter's face - the first since her Daddy died. Tears welled up in her eyes as she watched the little girl proudly sit atop Buddy, one of Hope Reins' angels in horsehair, smiling and waving happily as she rode around the ring.
"Operation: Hope Reins" succeeded in many ways that day "“offering over 50 Fort Bragg families an event dedicated to uplifting their hearts, many of whom live under the shadow of uncertainty with an active duty parent or have lost a Mom or Dad in combat.
Christmas comes early to Hope Reins every day for hundreds of hurting kids. Through free, 90-minute sessions with trained leaders and furry equine counselors, kids suffering from tragic circumstances find gifts of encouragement, unconditional love and an abundance of freedom to just roam outside in God's perfect green pastures and wooden trails.
You can bring Christmas early this year to a child at Hope Reins. By sponsoring a session or group of sessions, you will provide a little slice of heaven for a child who lives in an otherwise chaotic and sometimes painful environment.
