HOPE FOR MAGGIE

UPDATE: We are so thankful for all the support we ave received to help my sister with her treatment! I have been traveling back and forth to take care of her so this update is a little late. We went to Argentina but it was around the Christmas season in 2014 and the hospital was closing for the holidays so NO new patients could be admitted and they could not see her as she was not a resident of that country. We were sad and frustrated during this time but we did not focus on that. We went back home to Bolivia and begun treatment there with a private doctor as her cancer became a level 3 and it started spreading to her colon and bladder after a very short time. My sister went through a treatment to strengthen her immune system and what a blessing that was! then she underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The cancer decreased by 80%! and the doctor wanted to eradicate it  as much as the rest of our family so she underwent brachytherapy and was hospitalized for 5 days and the tests came back. She is now cancer free!!!!!!!! We are so pleased with her outcome! !!! During the whole process she did well, she did not have the typical side effects of treatment, she did not lose her hair, she had no pain, no hemorrhaging or throwing up. She only lost her appetite and slept a lot. The Doctors were surprised and recommend to support her immune system with her supplements and a healthy diet. She does not need to have a hysterectomy at all, as the cancer is gone! She will have regular follow ups for the next 17 yrs, and enjoy raising her young children into adulthood! Thank you so much for your prayers!!! We are so thankful to God, our Eternal Father and this miracle he has granted our family. We feel so blessed!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi, my name is Estael and this is my dear sister Maggie. She is 46 years old and we just found out she has an aggressive type of uterine cancer. Everyday is a second chance and my sister is going to fight for her life.

She needs immediate radiation therapy, but in Bolivia, which is where she lives, the equipment is so old that the doctors have advised her life would be at great risk if she continued treatment there and recommended to continue treatment in Argentina asap. Surgery alone will cost $15k, plus treatment and travel expenses.
We have felt the outpouring love and support from our friends and family in Bolivia, they have been very generous, hosting several community events to help fund her treatment thus far, and for this we are so grateful! But her treatment is still really expensive and anything and everything helps, that is why I am reaching out and asking for help.
I love my sister with all my heart, for everything that she is and for her love and compassion for others. I know she is trying to be strong and still continues to help and bless others along her way. But it hurts me to see her like this, she has never had an easy life.

We pray that she will be able to receive the treatment that she needs and that she will respond well to it. We pray that God, our Eternal Father will sustain her and comfort her and our family in this difficult journey.

If you can, please donate and help spread the word by sharing this with your connections and please keep Maggie in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!
