Hope for Gabriel

As parents of a severely disabled child, one of the hardest things we go through is understanding whether or not we’re making the right choices with regards to our child’s care. Our son Gabriel has low-functioning autism and is non-verbal. Gabriel has begun exhibiting behaviors in the home that make it unsafe for us and our other two children. We currently reside in NM, but the services for Gabe here are extremely limited and/or nonexistent. Therefore, we have been instructed and decided to relocate our family to a state that is closer to extended family and provides more resources to meet Gabriel’s needs. Due to the safety issue in our home and in order for our family to prosper as quickly as possible, we’ve decided on a departure date of December 8th, 2017. With it being such a sudden move, a job transfer is not possible for me, leaving our family without income for possibly several months.
