<div>I want to first say thank you to all who have expressed their kindness, warm thoughts, and numerous prayers since January when I was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer.

<div>It is still hard to fathom and seems so surreal. It has been a long road thus far, and the success of the chemotherapy treatments was only one step in this journey of recovery for me.
</div>

<div>We are now in the process of conferring with my team of doctors at Georgetown University Hospital to best determine which path I follow next, surgery or radiation.
</div>

</div>
<div>Neither are an easy option, but one is necessary. I am optimistic and have done my best to try to stay positive.
</div>

</div>
<div>Many have asked me how they can help and quite frankly I was not sure how to even answer or reply. I have always prided myself on trying to figure everything out, but sometimes we just cant.

<div>At this point in the process things are adding up and becoming more overwhelming and the thought and prayers are still very much welcomed and needed.

<div>To make matters more challenging, my husband recently lost his job which was our sole source of income and this has really put pressure on our situation.
