Hope Home Nepal is an organisation that provide homes for disadvantaged children in Nepal that would otherwise be homeless. I have had the privilege to stay with the family and volunteer for a week. Whilst I thought I could help them on my own, there is so much that needs to be done! With the recent earthquakes and very heavy monsoon floods the families have been doing it tough as less tourists have been here to help. The houses are very simple and in need of basic comforts. The 'house parents' cook, clean and look after the 15 children in total with minimal funding, really just enough for some rice, potatoes and school clothes. The house mum, Sepal has a multitude of health problems from arthritic hands and back to diabetes. This makes it hard to look after all these kids, especially when having to wash everything by hand! With your support id love to make their homes and lives more comfortable by providing simple things like carpet, painted walls, a gas stove, blinds, school shoes etc. Every doller is appreciated and receipts & photos of purchases can be provided.
