Welcome to Hope for the Homeless at USF! Hope for Homeless is a student run and founded organization at USF that is dedicated to serving the homeless of Tampa Bay. Our goal is to improve the lives of the homeless by providing them with necessary material resources. We focus on fundraising, care package drives, distribution events, and provide volunteering opportunities at local Tampa Bay homelessness organizations. 

Why are we raising Money?

Our organization receives limited university funding and wants to raise money to create care packages for the homeless community of Tampa Bay and to assist us with funding for campus-wide and community awareness events.

Where will my money go to?

The money will go solely to our organization to either purchase items needed for awareness events or to purchase items for care packages that will be distributed to the homeless community of Tampa Bay. Some examples of items we have included in the past are:

-toiletries: toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, wipes (travel size)
-socks
-feminine hygiene products
-drawstring backpacks
-bandaids
-nutrition bars
-reusable water bottles
-hand sanitizer

Can I donate items instead of money?

Yes! We will gladly accept any of the above items instead of or in addition to a monetary donation if you live in the Tampa Bay area. We understand that you may not be comfortable donating money, so we would be happy to accept an item donation.

If you have an item donation  and live in the Tampa Bay area, you may contact [email redacted] with the subject line "I have an Item Donation" and we will get back to you with directions on where to drop off the donation. Or, if you are familiar with USF Tampa campus, you may drop off your donation in Office space #20 on the 3rd floor of the Marshall Student Center in the CLCE tower.
