Hope for the Croston Family

Our friend and colleague James Croston is a long time resident of Cranbrook. He works as an advocate for individuals within the special needs community and has done so his entire working career. James is also a single father of two amazing children, Chase (age 13) and McKenna (age 9).
Earlier this summer James started feeling poorly. After consultation with his physician, it was determined that he has stage four lung and liver cancer. If things couldn't get any worse, it was then discovered that the cancer has metastasized to his brain.
A normally tall and robust individual, James is the shell of a man he use to be. Needless to say his cancer is aggressive.
At this particular time James' prognosis is grave. Treatment in Kelowna is available, however any procedures would be to prolong time with his children and provide pain management solutions.
As James is the family's sole income provider, we know that their financial needs have become dire. As a community of friends and colleagues we have arranged a meal train, back to school supplies and other generous donations for the Croston's. But we're fearful that it's not enough.
James is a very proud and humble man. On his behalf we would be grateful for any assistance the our community can provide the Croston family during this difficult time.  James has now returned from Kelowna to be in the comfort of his home to make memories with his children.
