Hope for Shea

I’ve known Michelle for a couple years, when you work with someone for a while you become like family.

Michelle’s daughter, Shea-Anne has been admitted to the hospital, she is fighting an unknown illness that is making it almost impossible for her to keep food and drink down. Michelle has had to watch her sweet daughter lose 50 pounds in a short period of time leaving her 5’ 8” daughter under 100 pounds, and now that she has been admitted to the hospital, numerous tests are being administered to find the cause. Her insides are lined with ulcers from her esophagus to her bowels, and so far her body is not responding to medicine.
She has been given a feeding tube through her nose which may need to be implanted in her stomach if her body doesn’t respond positively. The initial diagnosis seemed to be Crohn’s disease, which although is severe and lifelong, it can be kept under control, but no definitive diagnosis can be made. To make a long story short, Shea’s body is attacking her.

Both of Shea’s parents are working hard to provide for their children, and they are no strangers to the world of doctors and hospitals, with their only son dealing with a terminal blood disease and currently waiting on a bone marrow transplant.

No parent wants to see their children suffer so much and feel so helpless, but at this time their jobs are a necessity to try and keep up with the mounting costs of Shea’s hospitalization. They have consolidated where they can to save money to devote to the treatment of their daughter, but the costs are mounting and I am asking for your help to try and relieve as much of the stress as possible. It is really hard on Michelle to see her daughter go through this and not be able to be with her constantly, but the bills have to be paid. You will not find a sweeter, more deserving family. We all have gone through our share of struggles, and knowing just a tiny bit of Michelle’s life and what she has overcome makes me so proud to know her, and I know with our help, her and her sweet family will get through this!

All donations will go directly to Michelle for the treatment and recovery of Shea-Anne and will be received with much gratitude.

I love you Michelle!
