Hope for Paraplegic Dogs

Tax deductible
Please join us in raising the funds to help three paraplegic dogs travel to the UK, to receive specialist care at Friends of Animals Wales. These dogs have been through what no animal should ever have to experience. This is their chance of a life, rather than just an existence.

Penni, Jack and Sally are currently in an overcrowded shelter in Cairo, Egypt. Chance Animal Rescue are caring for them the very best they can, but a shelter is no place for a disabled dog. They desperately need individualised care and access to rehabilitation, due to their spinal injuries.
FoAW have access to a hydro pool, wheels so they can walk again, and experienced vets. They can assess and care for them until they can be adopted.

Here are their stories:

Penni is a 5 month old female puppy. She gets on well with other dogs, cats and people. (Even the small ones). She is fully vaccinated and very smart.
Penni was paralysed at two months old, after a car hit her and drove away. She has been in the care of Chance Animal Shelter ever since.
Here is her original post from when she was found: (Warning, distressing images.)

Sally is a very friendly, medium sized female. She is still mobile despite her disability. She is loves to be with other animals and humans.
Sally was in a car accident and has been in the shelter for a year now. She was found in pain on the streets of Cairo. Chance Rescue took her in and have been caring for her with medicine and physical therapy.

She did regain some use in her back legs previously, as you can see from her original post. (Warning, this includes a video of when she was found and is distressing.)

Unfortunately at present she is not walking again.

Jack is a very young male, medium sized, under a year old.
He was found in a rubbish dump, but this is certainly not where he belongs, nor does he belong in the shelter.
He has been in the shelter a few months now and we are hoping not for much longer.
Jack is paralysed and his spine is broken. With the help of wheels and individual care he would be able to live life to the full.
He is an incredibly friendly and well natured dog, as you can see from the photos. He adores human contact.

Please spare what you can, no donation to small. If you can't donate please share, you never know who might see this post!

£2400 will cover their flights, agents in both Egypt and the UK, travel equipment and medical preparations to allow them to travel.

Thank you
