<div>Hello everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are in a situation where my mom, Lucia, is facing the risk of losing her legal status in the USA. Her green card is set to expire this year, and due to the obstacles we are facing, we fear that the expiration might lead to her status becoming illegal, preventing her from working or receiving benefits in the USA, and possibly even facing deportation. I am creating this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds and make sure that my mom can continue to stay with us, her loving family, in the country we call home.

<div><strong>The Story:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our story is a testament to resilience and unwavering hope in the face of life's most challenging adversities. Our mom Lucia, a single mother who, in 1994, made the daring choice to depart her beloved Colombia, at the time, a nation besieged by unrelenting violence and turmoil, a conflict that had left an indelible mark on her family and her personal journey as a single mother.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Driven by dreams of a brighter future for her and her daughter, Lucia crossed paths with an American man during her time in Colombia. He proposed to her the promise of stability and security in the United States. With a heart full of love and determination, she embarked on a journey to a foreign land, leaving behind her entire world with only two suitcases and her young daughter. However, a cruel twist of fate awaited her. This man, whom she trusted and married, turned out to be an abusive presence, subjecting her to years of torment and cruelty.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After breaking free from a toxic situation, our journey has been anything but smooth. We've faced countless challenges, from enduring hardships and navigating the complexities of the immigration system to tackling unforeseen legal issues. Despite it all, my mom has persevered, clinging to her dream of securing a brighter future for our family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, we are facing a heart-wrenching situation due to unforeseen challenges, and we urgently need your support. Legal constraints prevent us from sharing intricate details, but we're racing against time to prevent my mom from losing her legal status. Your contribution will help us secure the necessary funds to navigate this crisis, ensuring the unity of our family and preserving the presence of an extraordinary woman who means everything to us. Your generosity can make a profound difference in our fight to overcome this adversity.

<div><strong>Why We Need Your Help:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The loss of my mom's legal status would not only have a profound impact on our family but would also leave a void in the community where she has played an active and nurturing role. She has been a cornerstone of support, caring for individuals with autism, the elderly, and those in need, embodying a compassionate spirit that has positively influenced numerous lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The cost of legal representation and navigating the immigration system is overwhelming, and we are struggling to cover these expenses on our own. Time is of the essence, as we aim to secure the necessary funds by the end of this year to prevent the worst-case scenario.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How Your Contribution Will Help:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your generous contribution will go directly towards covering any and all the fees required to secure my mom's status. These funds will enable us to hire an experienced immigration attorney who can guide us through the complex legal processes and represent her in court, ensuring that she has a fair chance to remain with her family and continue to be a valuable member of our community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Conclusion:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The road ahead is challenging, filled with legal battles, uncertainty, and financial burdens beyond our means to bear alone. We turn to you, our friends, family, and compassionate strangers, in the hope that you can help us overcome this grave injustice.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We believe in the power of community and kindness. Whether it's through a small donation, sharing our campaign, or spreading the word, your support can make a significant difference in our fight to keep our family together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The journey may be daunting, but with your help, we can ensure that Lucia continues to be a loving mother, a caring neighbor, and a contributing member of our society.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love and gratitude,
</div>
<div>Cesar, Juliana, and Lucia
