Dear Friends and Family,  Our world was turned upside down when our beloved son, Liam, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Liam is a brave and spirited young boy who loves nothing more than playing video games, playing with his toys, exploring the outdoors, and dreaming big about his future. But now, instead of riding his Mario-Kart, he's facing the toughest battle of his life.
  Liam’s journey with leukemia began two weeks ago when he started with a low grade fever. Flu and Strep tests were negative at the first doctors visit but then two days later his temp went up to 104.2. We took him back to the doctor who had a chest X-ray done, which was negative. Then they did blood work. That is when we were told to get him to the ER at Hackensack Medical Center right away. After more blood work was done in the ER, our worst fears were confirmed – Liam has ALL, a type of cancer that requires intensive and prolonged treatment.
  For the next two years, Liam will undergo grueling rounds of chemotherapy, hospital stays, and medical procedures. The road ahead is long and uncertain, but we refuse to lose hope. With the support of our incredible medical team and the love of our family and friends, we believe that Liam can beat this.
  However, the challenges extend beyond Liam’s medical treatment. As parents, we are faced with the heartbreaking reality of watching our son suffer while also navigating the financial strain of his illness. Insurance will only cover so much and Maria has taken a leave of absence from work to care for Liam full-time and ensure he receives the attention and support he needs during this critical time. While her dedication to our son's well-being is unwavering, it will result in a significant loss of income for our family.  As we focus on Liam’s health and healing, we are humbly reaching out for your support. Your generosity will not only help alleviate the financial burden of Liam’s medical expenses but also provide much-needed relief for Maria's lost wages during this challenging period.
