Hope for Kenzlyn

6 month old, sweet little Kenzlyn started life as a normal, happy, beautiful, and just simply, amazing baby.
On Sunday, December 10th, she began to have seizures. She was immedietely transferred from the hospital in her hometown, Kanab, UT, to Las Vegas Children’s Hospital.
After several days of non-stop seizures and multiple tests, the doctors found a right combo of meds to get them to slow down. Kenzlyn went 20 hours without a seizure on Friday, BUT then followed by the worst seizure yet.
The neurologist ordered a second EEG stat. This EEG shows that she has Infantile Spasms. (A rare epiletic disorder) Kenzlyn can have anywhere from 25-100 seizures a day.
There's a medication that could help the spasms and could lessen the chances of mental retardation, but its $10,000 per week and she needs it for 5-8 weeks. The first dose was very generously donated! Kenzlyn's parents are still working with different insurances and the state to try to get them to help. But that takes time and even co-pays are bank-braking.
