HOPE for Julie

“The real HOPE is not in something we think we can do, but in God, who is making something good out of it in some way we cannot see. “ Thomas Merton

My sister Jean and I recently stopped in Nashville,TN to check on our cousin, Julie (Yaney) Bryer. We knew she was having multiple health issues since January 2018. The weak and desperate sound in her voice during our phone conversations, convinced us both that we needed to stop and check on her while traveling from Florida back home to IN. We were devastated when we saw how frail and ill she was.

She has a diagnosis of lupus which triggers multiple health problems. Her pain is so extreme that many days she can not even get out of bed. Burning in her hands and feet has been severe and debilitating. She has had sores in her mouth making it impossible to eat. This has caused her to lose over 30 pounds, currently only weighing 80 pounds.

Needless to say, Julie has been unable to work for the past 6 months at a very physical job, cleaning Airbnb’s. This has taken a toll on her financial situation and more importantly her spirit of “never give up”.

Julie has three children and became a widow 11 years ago when her husband took his life, due to ongoing depression.   She is an amazing woman and did what was necessary to love and support her children through that great loss.

This  “Go Fund Me” will help Julie with mortgage payments, medical bills, medications, utilities and paying down her credit card debts.

Unfortunately, lupus is not curable and will be an ongoing challenge physically, mentally and financially.

Please consider any contribution to help Julie. More importantly pray for God’s physical and spiritual healing of this beautiful woman. Julie has demonstrated compassion to friends and strangers throughout her life. I pray that others will meet her needs at this difficult time.

Julie was a graduate of Northside High School, Fort Wayne, In (1976) and attended St Jude Catholic Grade school.

God Bless,
