Hope for Healing - Help Liz on her medical journey

My Nina (Godmother) Elizabeth Acosta Blake is in the hospital once again, for a condition she has suffered for so long, and for which she has been hospitalized many times, including numerous medical referrals off-island. Each time she goes on these referrals, she incurs personal expenses that have mounted over time. This time, her medical trip will be even more difficult because her medical escort (caregiver) will not be financially covered. This is currently holding things back for her.
 
When she told me this, it broke my heart. My Nina has dedicated her entire life to caring for others; yet I had to pull teeth to get her to share her worries with me. 

You see, my Nina, for most of her adult life unselfishly and unequivocally cared for her ailing mother and father until they both passed. Many times, she did not eat nor sleep; all the while, mustering up all the energy she could give to her spouse and children, including a child with special needs --- without complaining. She has not been employed for so long due to caring for others, therefore she has no personal income. 

I have never known anyone quite as selfless as my Nina Liz. It breaks my heart that she needs help now from others but she is so too modest and humble to ask for help. I offered my Nina to help raise funds to support her medical referral expenses; therefore, I appeal to you, friends of my Nina, and my own friends and family, to help support my Nina for a much desperately needed medical intervention off-island. There is no donation too big or small to help her on this medical journey. Your contributions will go a long way, and she and I will both remember you in our hearts forever.
