<div>Across Uganda, many children have been <strong>displaced by their own parents </strong>due to hardship and economic instability. These little ones often sleep on the streets—cold, hungry, and forgotten—yet they wake up each day with hope, knowing they might receive a <strong>hot meal freely provided by ECCOU.</strong>

<div>At <strong>Eastlander Childcare Organization (ECCOU), </strong>we strive to do more than feed them.
</div>
<div>We offer <strong>free education for the bright but needy,</strong> ensure <strong>basic healthcare,</strong> and train them in <strong>entrepreneurial and practical skills</strong> such as liquid soap making and small-scale crafts building confidence, dignity, and self-reliance.
</div>

</div>
<div>For over <strong>four years,</strong> our mission has survived mainly through the generosity of <strong>local donors</strong>, friends, and families who contribute <strong>farm produce</strong> and small gifts of love. Despite this, we now have <strong>93 children receiving active, full-time support</strong>—but over <strong>600 more are waiting to be reached.</strong>

<div>To move beyond survival and toward sustainability, we are developing our <strong>first step in a long-term sustainability plan:</strong> purchasing <strong>tricycles (cargo bikes)</strong> that can be rented to local farmers for transporting their produce. This initiative will create a <strong>steady recurring income</strong> to fund the daily feeding, healthcare, and education of our orphans.
