Despite his limitations, Mitchell is an extremely generous person. He volunteers hours of his time every week to a local organization that helps those with drug addictions overcome their personal obstacles.
We want to, in turn, help Mitchell overcome some of his own daily obstacles that are due to his debilitating physical condition.
We would like to convert the unfinished basement in his parent's house to a fully handicap-friendly living environment for Mitchell. Our parents were out of work for over a year and our dad just recently found work in an entry-level position for a local car manufacturer. Needless to say, money is tight.
The basement would be complete with wheelchair-height counters, refrigerator, and remote control doors and windows. We can do it for the cost we are asking. We have hundreds of hours of volunteer labor currently, as well as donated materials, and resources. There are some costs that require professional construction companies and we are asking for help. Mitchell is bound daily by tasks many of us take for granted. We want to offer Mitchell some freedom. Will you help us?
