<div>Wow! How has it already been 2 years since our last fundraiser?! 2 years ago we were able to raise $7,213 for Hope Mommies boxes. That is 120 boxes! 120 boxes went to 120 families who experienced infant loss at our local hospitals in the last 2 years.

<div>I pulled out the last remaining funds last week and was able to supply both hospitals (Bay Area and Spohn) with 15 boxes each. So I'm now coming to you again to help fundraise for another year's supply of boxes. With your help, I'd love for each and every family who has to experience the pain and sorrow of infant loss to receive a Hope Mommies box.

<div>You may be wondering what is a Hope Mommies box? And what is Hope Mommies? Their vision is to help every family who experiences infant loss find community, grief resources and ultimately the Hope of Christ who is our unfailing anchor. When I was in the hospital room spending time with our sweet girl Mina, our doulas brought in a Hope Mommies box. When opening the box, I was greeted with an uplifting letter from another mom who had been exactly where I was. I will never forget the words "I know your pain." Hearing those words truly broke down the wall of isolation that was building over the course of my time in labor, it's a moment I will cherish forever. Also in the box was a bible, devotional on infant loss, small gifts for me, some bath products for my baby and other items. This box was SUCH a blessing to me.

<div>We lost our daughter, Mina Husby, on August 22, 2021 at 31 weeks pregnant. There is absolutely nothing that can prepare you for that kind of heartbreak. Learning you've lost your baby while still being pregnant is truly impossible to comprehend. Then you are expected to go into labor and meet your baby in a way you could have never even dared to imagine. Receiving a box after that experience and reading the words from another mama who has been in this exact circumstance, brought such an indescribable comfort. Over these last 2 years, we were able to purchase, prepare, write letters and pray over 120 boxes going to families that would be in the exact same position as I was. I even had moms reach out to me after receiving a box. I will always cherish the messages I received and mamas I got to meet from this ministry.

<div>In a way, this was how I got to mother our sweet Mina. With each box I was able to write her name and tell a bit of her story. This is my little way of honoring and loving our daughter.
