Hope Beyond Displacement

Hi! My name is Julia Goldsby and I'm currently working on a documentary film about the Collateral Repair Project (CRP) in Amman, Jordan. Specifically, I will highlight the FAWCO Target Project, Hope Beyond Displacement, which focuses on CRP education programs for girls and young women.
In Jordan, one of every ten people is a refugee. Parents lack the resources to send their kids to school.
Think about this: An entire generation of refugee children is losing the chance to understand the world and function effectively in it.
The Project:
By creating awareness, my film will be a catalyst for positive change. These kids–many of whom have lost their homes, their families, and their cultural identity—remain hopeful, brave, and fierce. The urban refugee children in Jordan deserve our respect and attention.
My Part:
My film will bring awareness to CRP and Hope Beyond Displacement. Working with volunteers, I will offer viewers—through uplifting stories of the courageous children and young people enrolled in CRP programs—a chance to connect, reflect, and open their hearts. Most people aren't familiar with the urban refugee situation in Amman. My program helps get the word out.
Funding:
My goal is to raise 2,500 dollars. The money raised here will cover my expenses (travel, translation, crew, and equipment) during the production of this film. I will travel to Amman during the month of April and work hand in hand with CRP to document the strength of the amazing young people enrolled in CRP programs.
I really appreciate your support! If I surpass my fundraising goals, additional revenue will go directly to CPR and Hope Beyond Displacement.
Your contribution—large or small— guarantees you a credit at the end of the film.
Thanks,
Julia
