Hi, my name is Darina.

I moved from Belarus to the U.S. when I was 20 and have been building my life here on my own. For the past year my family has been going through a nightmare. My mom was unfairly detained due to political reasons, and my uncle — the only other person who supported my grandmother — recently passed away. Now my elderly grandma is left completely alone, and all the responsibility has fallen on me.

I’m doing everything I can to help her from afar, but I can’t manage this situation alone. The weight of legal costs, daily expenses, and emotional strain is overwhelming.

This fundraiser is my only hope to make sure my grandmother is not left behind. Any support you can give will go directly toward helping her survive this difficult time. Even the smallest contribution makes a huge difference.
