<div>On Friday morning, our community in Stewart County was shaken by a devastating tragedy. Ms. Tasha Berry, a deeply valued member of our community, survived an unimaginable act of domestic violence. After enduring a violent beating, Tasha was shot by her husband. She was rushed to the hospital and is currently fighting to reclaim her life and health.

<div>Tasha survived, but her battle is just beginning. She is recovering from her injuries and faces a long, painful road to physical recovery. Beyond the severe physical trauma, the emotional and psychological toll she has endured is immense.

<div>Tasha’s story is a heartbreaking reminder of the severe and often hidden crisis of domestic abuse. No one should ever have to face violence, terror, or abuse in their own home. By coming together for Tasha, we are not only supporting a brave survivor, but we are also shining a light on domestic assault. We must break the silence, stand up against abuse, and show survivors that they are not alone.
