HOPE & HEALING FOR BECKY

Becky Broxton, a loving wife and Mother, was living a wonderful life with her husband Jeff and her children until her life changed in September 2017. She received the dreaded diagnosis of breast cancer and so her journey began. It was determined that a right breast mastectomy with lymph node removal was a must and she underwent that procedure in December 2017. The procedure went well, she was healing as expected and everyone thought Becky was on the road to recovery. A few weeks after surgery, she began to experience severe back pain. At first, she thought it just may be a pulled muscle but throughout chemo treatment the pain continued to intensify and eventually it limited her mobility to the extent that she was confined to either a chair or the bed. The back pain became so unbearable that her physician decided to run additional testing. Unfortunately, those tests revealed that her breast cancer had (in fact) spread to her spine, softening her bone in the L1 vertebrae, hips, shoulders and multiple spots on her liver.
In an effort to relieve the pain in her lower back, Becky and Jeff have been traveling back and forth daily to MUSC in Charleston SC where she has been receiving radiation. She has also undergone several cementing procedures to strengthen her back and to prevent her spine from collapsing. Despite all of these efforts, Becky has noticed very little relief from the pain. Her cancer is stage 4 and incurable. Soon, she will be starting a targeted cancer treatment specific to her type of cancer.
Becky has not been able to return to work since her diagnosis and with all of the traveling back and forth to MUSC in Charleston, the financial burden is becoming very heavy. I challenge all of Becky & Jeff's friends and family to rally together to help ease this financial burden and to pray for the healing powers of our Lord to be laid upon her. This page will remain active indefinitely so that we can all give what we can when we can.
Becky remains strong in her faith and believes that with God all things are possible. She, Jeff and her children are so grateful for your love, prayers and support.
