I've lived in this city for over a decade. After surviving 1 October, something shifted in me. I knew I wanted to give back to the community that held me up. Every day driving rideshare on the Strip, I'd see the same thing: people in crisis with no idea where to find help. Shelters exist. Cooling stations exist. Food banks exist. But when you're on the street in 115-degree heat, you don't have time to Google.

So I built HOPE 702, a free SMS system that connects anyone in Las Vegas to the nearest shelters, cooling stations, food banks, and pet resources instantly. No app to download. No data plan needed. Just text HOPE to 833--573--9626 and help is on the way.

It's live right now 24/7, with 129 resources across 45 ZIP codes in Clark County.

I made a promise to my son Owen that one day this won't just be HOPE 702. It will be HOPE 312 in Chicago, HOPE 305 in Miami, HOPE in every city that needs it. But first, I need to make sure Las Vegas is covered.
