This has come very unexpectedly and all the family are in shock and are experiencing a great deal of sorrow.

Honouring the life of Adrian Luke Scotney (Ady);Your story continues
Supporting his family in a time of great sadness that came unexpectedly
It is with a very heavy heart that I’m sharing the unexpected passing of Adrian Luke Scotney (My Brother)
A devoted life partner , a loving father and step father, a proud grandad , a son, cherished brother and uncle.
Our family is large and complex, not straight forward or conventional but family was something that Adrian cared about and supported without a flinch of judgement. He showed up in the ways he could for the people he loved , gave when he had nothing for himself , joked and made others laugh when inside he was sad. His soul was full of kindness in a world that he felt awkward in.
Although Ady was one of six brothers to Me , he was probably the one I felt the closest to. Born a day before my tenth birthday, something that made our birthdays ever connected.
Our bond was built on shared memories, laughter and a deep understanding of things we were afraid to share with others That was a trust that only siblings can have.
Most of our treasured memories go back to our childhood when things were much more carefree , before our beloved mum had passed with Ady only being a month away from his own 10th birthday.
Childhood Ady was full of this boundless energy and curiosity which meant getting himself into mischief. Sharing some memories with one of his brothers there were a lot of shenanigans that I can only say “ only in the 1980s We Gen X kids could have got away with.
Tying ropes to bunk beds to climb out windows , digging trenches in the garden to make camps , riding quads and dirt bikes without protection which continued when they eventually became fathers themselves
Our sister shares memories of her remembering Ady in his knight rider T-shirt , his cheeky face and his love for He Man cartoons
My memories being an adolescent girl with My toddler brother almost superglued to My ankles I couldn’t go anywhere without him being with Me
After a long and private battle with mental health , his life ended unexpectedly on Tuesday 20th of January 2026 at the age of 44
Out of love and respect for his young children We are keeping the details minimal and choosing to focus on celebrating the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind
Let’s just say His story is to be continued;
This fundraiser has been created to help support Ady’s life partner with the financial costs of his life celebration services and related expenses, so we can reflect who he was and the love he shared with so many
Any funds raised Beyond service expenses will be donated to a suicide prevention and mental health awareness charity in Ady’s honour, helping to support others that may be struggling - Because every life matters and every story deserves the chance to continue
We hope this page serves not only as a tribute to Ady but also as a reminder that kindness , compassion and connection truly matter
Mental health affects so many families and no one should ever feel alone or struggle
If you are able to donate , share this page or leave a message or memory our family would be deeply grateful
Every act of kindness helps more than words
can express during this incredibly difficult time
Thank you for helping us honour Adrian Luke Scotney (Ady )
Please keep his memory alive
With heartfelt thanks
Ava ( Ady’s big sister ) & family ❤️
