Honoring Z- Man's Heroic Journey

It is with heartache that I announe that On July 3rd, 2017, we lost Zach, known to his fans as Z-Man and one of God's most valuable treasures. Although we rejoice that his body is now whole, our hearts ache in the absence of his presence. Zach was a courageous warrior. He spent the last 18 years in a battle against his own body.
Although, Zach's fragile body struggled with daily challenges, he somehow managed to breeze through it all, always with a smile. His spirit, just naturally deposited joy in every life he encountered.
If you have been blessed to know the Lashley family personally, then you know that, that special ability to shine, it runs in the family. They are all, always so willing to generously offer love, kindness, encouragement, empowerment, advocacy, and most importantly their support to the special needs community. Despite their own challenges, they have willingly represented a pillar of hope in a community that so desperately needed their light and guidance.
Zach's mother Lori is an extrodinary mother and a mighty human being. Amongst many roles, Lori serves as an activist, advocate, role model, and loyal and supportive friend. She is most likely one of the friends, who has helped pull you out of some of your darkest days, on multiple occasions. Now it's our turn to be that friend!
Lori's passion to unify mothers fighting the uphill battle of raising children with special needs, inspired her vision to create a support group called Mighty Moms. Lori gave us mothers just trying our best to courageously fight for our children, a fighting chance. It provided us an opportunity to unite with other mothers traveling the same lonely road. She has provided us with a safe place and platform, to share resources, best practices, and support for one another. Lori is responsible for developing a support system, that has helped hundreds of us moms, battle a battle so much bigger than us. Lori is to humble to ever acknowledge it, but the truth is, in some way, shape, or form, Lori has helped lead many of us to our own personal VICTORIES.
The Lashley family is going to need us to walk this journey alongside them. Let's help them find comfort in knowing that we are with them on their journey to heal.
I would encourage us all to consider contributing in anyway we can, to support the Lashleys as they grief the significant loss of their hero. Let's all make a difference, whether you have been honored to know them personally or are just now learning about this families heroic journey.
