It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved father, Walter “Hammer” Greene Sr, who left us on February 6, 2026. Walter was a man who lived his life with his sleeves rolled up and his heart wide open. He was the kind of person who didn't just show up—he stayed until the job was done and everyone was taken care of. 
 
 
 A Life of Service and Simple Joys 
 
 Walter was truly at his happiest when he was busy. He had a lifelong passion for working on cars, and many of us have memories of him tinkering in the yard, grease on his hands and a smile on his face. He didn't just fix engines; he fixed problems for people. He was the definition of someone who would go the extra mile, never hesitating to help a friend, a family member, or even a stranger, no matter the time or the task. When he wasn't helping someone out, he loved the simple things that made life sweet: the excitement of playing the lottery, the laughter shared with his close friends, and, above all else, the time spent with his family. He taught us that the greatest wealth in life is the kindness you show to others.

We are raising funds to cover his funeral and memorial expenses to ensure he is honored with the dignity he deserves.
