Honoring Tim’s Final Chapter

Hi everyone,
We wanted to share our father Tim’s story.
Last October, during what was supposed to be a routine scan, our family’s world was turned upside down. We found out that Dad had stage 3 renal cancer. It was a shock, but in true Tim fashion, he faced it head-on: calm, courageous, and ready to fight.
From that moment, our days became filled with doctor visits, treatments, and endless hope. Dad went through multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy. Each time a treatment stopped working, he’d look at us, and say, “We’ll just try the next one.” His spirit never wavered. Even when he was tired or in pain, he still asked how everyone else was doing. That’s who our dad is — selfless, kind, and full of love for the people around him.
Over the past year, there were many ups and downs — nights spent in the ER, weeks in the hospital, moments of progress followed by heartbreak. But through it all, he never lost his sense of humor or his warmth. He continued to be our steady rock, even as the cancer tried to take that from him.
In September, after another serious reaction to chemotherapy, his oncologist who has been incredible, sat down with Dad and our sister Madison. He gently explained that the treatments were no longer helping and that it was time to stop fighting the disease, and instead focus on comfort and peace. Dad made the brave decision to come home, surrounded by family, to spend the rest of his time in the place he loves most.
Our mother passed away in 2018 after her own battle with cancer, and losing her was the hardest thing we’ve ever faced — until now. Madison has been caring for Dad with so much love and strength, with the support of our brother William. Together, we’ve done everything we can to make his final days peaceful and full of love.
But with the many treatments, hospital stays, and medications, the medical bills have added up. As we prepare for what’s to come, we’re also faced with the costs of giving Dad the farewell he deserves, one that honors the incredible man he is.
We’re reaching out to our community, friends, and family to ask for help in easing this burden. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go toward Dad’s final expenses and fulfilling his last wishes.
Our father has spent his life giving to others — now we want to give him the dignity, peace, and love he’s given us all these years.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your kindness, support, and prayers during this time.
With love and gratitude,
Madison & William
