On September 5th, 2024, we welcomed our beautiful Stevie Wren Sisk into the world. Shortly after she was born, she was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Colorado Springs due to a multitude of different complications. Stevie was diagnosed with a rare metabolic disorder, and only given less than a year to live. After her 3 month stay in the NICU, we took our girl home for an incredible 19 months.
Stevie then developed Septic Shock when she was 19 months old, and had to be airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Denver. She fought there for two weeks and was transferred back to Children’s in Colorado Springs.
On the evening of May 9th, Stevie’s heart decide it was done working so hard and she took her last breath in my arms.
Our goal is to keep our Stevie’s legacy alive. We would love to create some sort of memorial or program in Stevie’s honor for other parents who were gifted and are navigating a medically complex child, spending weeks, even months in the hospital.
If you would like to contribute to Stevie’s legacy we would love to have your support. Thank you all so much.
