On September 15, 2025, in the early morning hours, our family experienced an unthinkable tragedy when a man entered our home and opened fire. In just moments, our lives were forever changed. Our beloved sister, Samantha, lost her life that morning while trying to protect our family, and others were critically injured. 
 
Samantha was the heart of our family—the baby sister with the purest soul, a calming voice of reason, and someone who loved deeply and selflessly. Though she didn’t have biological children, she was a mother figure to her 11 nieces and nephews and to the son she called her own. She gave so much love to all of us, and now we are left with a void that can never be filled. 
 
As we grieve and begin the long road of healing, we are also faced with the reality of unexpected challenges. This GoFundMe has been created to help ease the weight of everyday needs such as food, gas, and transportation, along with providing support for family members who have taken time away from work to help care for us and stay by our side. 
 
Your donations—no matter the size—will help us focus on what matters most: healing, supporting one another, and honoring Samantha’s memory. And if you are not able to give financially, your prayers, messages, and the simple act of sharing this page mean more than words can ever express.
