<div>Ron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years. His military service reflected the values he carried throughout his life—integrity, dedication, and a selfless desire to serve others. Even after retiring from the Air Force, he continued to live by those principles, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

<div>One of Ron’s greatest passions was archery. He loved not only the sport itself but also the people it brought into his life. Whether someone was a seasoned competitor or picking up a bow for the very first time, Ron never hesitated to offer encouragement, guidance, and advice. He found genuine joy in helping others become better archers and took great pride in celebrating their successes.

<div>Above all else, Ron’s greatest love was his family. He treasured every moment spent with them and was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He was the kind of man who could walk into any room and leave with new friends. His warm smile, easy conversation, and caring heart made everyone feel welcome. If someone needed help and Ron was able to give it, he never thought twice. His generosity and compassion touched countless lives, and the difference he made in his community will never be forgotten.

<div>Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Mitchell; his daughters, Sheena Frisbie and Stephanie Mitchell; his son-in-law, Craig Frisbie; and many extended family members, dear friends, and fellow archers whose lives he enriched. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Shawn Mitchell, in 2022.

<div>Ron will be remembered for his strength, humility, kindness, and unwavering willingness to help others. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the friendships he built, and the family he loved so deeply. He will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

<div>In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate donations that will be used to support the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that was especially meaningful to Ron and reflected his lifelong commitment to serving and supporting others.
