Our hearts are heavy as we share the loss of Marnette Gordon, a truly beautiful soul. In 2008, she received a donor heart, a gift that gave her more time with her loved ones, though her journey was far from easy. She faced countless transplant rejections and lived with a lifelong ostomy after a bowel obstruction, yet she never let these battles define her spirit.

She spent many days and often weeks to months in the hospital, where the staff cared for her with extraordinary compassion. In those long stays, they became more than caregivers they treated her as they would their own family, surrounding her with kindness, comfort, and unwavering support through every trial she faced. She was strong, loving, and an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
