Honoring Lynn Kastella: Community Advocate
Donation protected
Lynn Kastella (1948-2021) was a loving Mother, Wife, Friend. She was a person of faith who lived her values each day. She was an ethical business woman and enthusiastic mentor. She made a difference in our community through her action and advocacy for causes she believed in:
~Women’s Empowerment through her involvement in Komen for the Cure, WATT Business & Professional Women and other charitable efforts.
~Building Safety via her work as a business owner and property manager, and her participation with the BOMA professional organization.
~Service Above Self as a proud member of Old Pueblo Rotary, where she supported individuals and endeavors with her time, talent and resources.
She was a Champion for the Tucson Fire Department, serving on the Tucson Fire Code Committee for over 20 years. She was a leader in establishing a permanent memorial for fallen firefighters in Tucson. She did this because she wanted there to be ‘a sacred place’ of honor and remembrance. (https://www.tucsonfirememorial.org/) For many years, Lynn headed the committee that held an annual event, paying homage to those who died.
This fund-raising effort is to establish a fitting tribute to this deserving individual: a Bronze Plaque honoring Lynn Kastella within the Firefighter Memorial at Tucson Fire Central in Downtown Tucson, AZ.
