Lourance Lam, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2026, at Corewell Health in Troy. He was born on December 1, 1953, in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Lourance was a devoted husband to his wife, Anna Lam, and a loving father to his children, Kevin, Long, Robert, and Caroline. He welcomed his son-in-law, Tony, and daughter-in-law, Elisa, into the family with open arms. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Christina Lam.

He was truly an amazing man—always smiling, always bringing warmth to those around him. He loved cooking for others, fixing things around the house, working in his garden, and fishing like no one else. No matter what he was doing, he found joy in it, especially when he could share it with family and friends.

My dad was incredibly generous. If you spent any time with him, you know he would always offer you food—making sure you felt cared for and welcomed. He loved his family deeply and treated his friends like family as well.

We are starting a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses, including the ceremony performed by Linh Son Temple to honor his life. Any support is deeply appreciated, and we are grateful for your kindness during this difficult time. He will be missed more than words can express.
