Hello friends and family. My name is Opal Ortiz and my children, Natalia and Noah Quiles, tragically lost their father, Jonathan Michael Quiles, on Monday, May 18, 2026. He was killed by a drunk driver.
Never in my life did I think this would be a part of their story. This loss is especially difficult because our son Noah will be graduating high school on Thursday, May 28. And now his dad won’t be there . Sadly, this is only the beginning of missed milestones and memories. Natalia will not have her father at her college graduation, and Noah will not have his father to guide him into manhood. They will not have their father for any more birthdays, weddings, or the future birth of their babies. They will always mourn what could have been.
This sudden loss has left our family heartbroken and facing unexpected expenses. Jonathan is survived by 4 children, Natalia, Noah, Lani and James. As Jonathan’s oldest child, Natalia, with my help, has been tasked with planning her father’s funeral all while preparing to leave for an internship working in transportation engineering this summer.
Because of Jonathan’s untimely death, we will be needing to use funds saved for Natalia’s grad school and Noah’s college tuition and expenses.
I humbly ask that you consider donating to this fundraiser. The money will go directly towards Jonathan’s funeral expenses, helping to ensure that we continue with Noah’s college plans and Natalia’s grad school plans. And if this goal is exceeded the remaining funds will be shared with all of his children.
Thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts for your generous donations and helping my children honor their father.
