Joe Novak, lovingly known as Droopy, was a man with a big heart who touched the lives of everyone around him. As the biological father of a daughter and one son, and a loving bonus dad to two more, Joe cherished each of his children equally. The woman who won his heart was a special person in his eyes, and together they built a family filled with love and laughter. Joe’s passing has been devastating for his children, his girlfriend, other family members, and close friends. His generosity extended beyond his life—Joe was an organ donor, and his final gift brought hope to three families in need.
I am Joe’s mom, and I was always his biggest fan. His sense of humor and beautiful smile could light up any room. Joe was fiercely protective of me and his younger sister, whom we lost in 1999 at just 16 years old. That loss changed him deeply, but over time, he found his way back to the person we all loved. Joe enjoyed drawing, tattooing, walking in the woods, working on his truck, and spending time with those closest to him. He was always willing to help anyone in need, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
We are asking for help with Joe’s cremation costs because none of us are financially prepared to cover this expense. Any support received will go directly toward honoring Joe’s memory, and anything beyond the cremation costs will be given to his sons to help them during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity will make a meaningful difference for our family as we navigate this heartbreaking loss.
