Honoring Joe Gallagher

I’d like to take a moment to share a short story ahead of the 2018 Digital Media Open Charity Golf Tournament.
On July 29th, we tragically and unexpectedly lost our friend and colleague Joe Gallagher. As a father and a husband I, went home and hugged my family a little tighter after hearing of his passing. When these things happen I always think “this could have been me, this could have been any of us.” What small part can my team and I do to help Joe’s memory live on?
I met Joe Gallagher playing golf at our first Open back in 2016. The proceeds of that outing were being raised for the Ioanna C. Moore Foundation, established by our dear friend Dave Moore.
At our 2018 we will be remembering our friend Joe and helping to support the creation of a scholarship in his honor.
During my address to our guests, I remember expressing what a privilege it is to use my business and the community it serves to raise money for a great causes. Today, it is my honor to announce that the proceeds from the 2018 Digital Media Open will go to a scholarship created in Joe’s name to honor the tremendous positive impact he had on our industry.
My ask to each of you is to do what you can to support his cause, both today and in the future. I appreciate your consideration and am looking forward to sharing news about how successful we are in this endeavor in the near future!
