Vernon Dee Batey (1934–2025)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved grandfather, Vernon Dee Batey, who departed this life peacefully on May 28, 2025, at the age of 90 , surrounded by the people who loved him.

Vernon was a kind, steady, and deeply loving presence in our lives. He lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of strength, wisdom, and compassion. His gentle spirit and warm smile touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is deeply missed by his grandchildren, who adored him and carry forward his memory with love and gratitude. Grandpa Vernon was more than family he was our SUPERHERO, mentor, and constant source of support.

We are organizing this fund to help cover funeral and memorial expenses as we celebrate the life of a man who gave so much to those around him. Any contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated as we honor his memory and give him the farewell he deserves.
