<div>Ann Alexander Wellington dedicated her life’s work to understanding and treating dyslexia, with a deep commitment to helping children as early as possible. She founded the Morris Center in Gainesville, Florida, and the Wellington-Alexander Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, to make effective, intensive dyslexia treatment accessible to children and families.

<div>Central to her legacy is the Alexander Integrated Method (AIM), an approach grounded in research and supported by evidence. AIM focuses on strengthening early language and phonological skills that are essential for learning to read and spell. Dr. Ann believed that when these foundations are built early, the impact of dyslexia can be reduced and children can approach reading and spelling with greater confidence and ease. Her later work centered on bringing these proven strategies to preschool-age children, in order to catch them before they fall.

<div>Dr. Ann died peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 84. She read stories and practiced sounding out words with her grandchildren until her final days. Helping children was her true calling in life. In lieu of flowers, her family has created this donation link to honor her life’s work. Contributions will help carry her vision forward by expanding access to these early language strategies, allowing more young children and families to benefit from the support that can change a child’s learning journey.
