<div>This has and will never be alright,my mother is devastated. There is no pain worse in this world than losing a child. Our family has lost a good man who gave everything to try to save benji. It was a beautiful day of swimming,the day before was simply that. A beautiful happy day of swimming. The next day was a horrible tragedy that no one could imagine happening so suddenly. My brother and nephew were swimming,and 4 minutes later we were on opposite sides of the river . We couldn’t do anything while they got taken 20 feet down. It was like sand slipping through your fingers. We will never see water the same. It used to be so beautiful. We pass that bridge every time coming home,and every time we will no longer see a beautiful river but where our family drowned in front of our eyes. A mother should never lose her spouse or child in front of her. A child should never have had to see his best friend and uncle go down and not come back up. Benji was so excited for swimming that day. He loved to water bend. He loved gooosebumps and E.T. He was truly the sweetest kid you’d ever meet,never a mean word . Not a mean bone in his body. Him and Vince were best friends.

<li>Dave was a good man,yes he smoked more cigarettes than were good for him and yes he always came stomping in with dirty work shoes after working in the garden but he stepped up for this family. A real man through and through. He was the love of my mom’s life and a father figure to all 8 of her children. He was an incredibly brave man and we’ll never forget how hard and selflessly he tried to save benji. He loved to have good cup of coffee with his woman. He truly loved my mom and he loved every one of us like his own. He loved every cat he met. I don’t know what we’ll do without him. He’ll always be remembered for his bravery and his dedication to our family.
