Honoring Daron

It is with a heavy heart that we must share with you the passing of our friend and true Holbrook Bulldog, Daron Jean Baptiste. God called Daron home at the young age of 13 after a long and valiant fight against medulloblastoma. He fought so hard and throughout that fight, he never lost that infectious smile, outpouring laughter or most importantly,his faith in God. Daron’s faith in the Lord took priority in his life and he would be the first to tell you that he felt comfort and acceptance in God’s plan for him. His positive attitude, bravery, and big heart touched the lives of many. Daron just finished his 7th grade year at Holbrook Jr./Sr. High School; where he thrived despite his illness. It was a very rare occasion that Daron missed school throughout his illness if he could help it. He loved being involved with Student Government, Civics, Chess Club and Robotics. He felt at home within the Holbrook community.

We know that many people are looking for ways to reach out to the family, while searching for a way to honor this amazing young man. We would like to continue his legacy and bulldog pride by setting up a scholarship in his name. This scholarship would be for a student(s) that exhibits the same school spirit and community outreach that Daron did every day of his life. Please help us to keep Daron’s memory alive and donate to this special scholarship fund. We thank you in advance for all of your support during this time. Our love and prayers surround Daron’s family and we will forever remember the young man so many called “friend”.
