<div>Last year, we lost Claire, our big-hearted and one-of-a-kind sister, daughter, and friend, after a long battle with addiction.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Block Island was Claire's happy place - the place she loved the most in the whole world, where she was most free, and the place where she had many of her very best memories.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In her honor, on behalf of our family, I will be running the <a href="https://www.blockislandinfo.com/island-events/46th-annual-run-around-the-block" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">15k Run Around the Block</a> Race on September 9, 2023, to raise funds in Claire's name for The Block Island Conservancy, a non-profit dedicated to protecting the island.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Though Claire lost touch with many of those who cared for her, we know she always treasured her past relationships more than you can imagine.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We hope you will consider supporting this effort with a gift of any size. This is not about the amount of money you are able to donate- absolutely any amount is welcome. To add your name, a note, or a song for my race playlist from those that cared for, danced with, or laughed with Claire at any point along her journey will mean the world to our family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All funds will be contributed to the Block Island Conservancy in Claire's name, so she will have a lasting impact on the place she loved so much.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I may be the last runner on the road, but I will finish the race and your support will help carry me through, in honor of Claire.
