Honoring Carla & Christian's Life Journey

Welcome and thank you for clicking our link ♥️

This page is not only a request for monetary donations but a tribute to a couple who lived a life filled with love for each other, family, our country and Mother Earth.

Christian and Carla Kling passed away in August, 10 days apart and not only did we lose two amazing people that really loved our earth but two adult children lost their parents, two parents that started a beautiful business together and unfortunately they left behind not only sadness, but due to illness, they left debt.

Background:
In 1995, Chris and Carla Kling welcomed their son, Matt, into the world and decided it was time to settle down from their life doing cross-country trucking with their daughter, Christina. So, using skills he had developed over in the past doing window, screen, and blinds repair, they started Window Master Real Wood Products. Window Master became a local treasure, where Chris would custom fabricate windows, doors, cabinetry, you name it; Carla handled glass and screen repairs and the office.

Over the years, Chris amassed quite the collection of scrap lumber, and started to get involved in the idea of reuse, working with Urban Miners and doing deconstructions/reclaiming lumber on the side to fuel his projects.

This business carried on for 20 years on its own, moving from place to place across Branford, CT. However, in 2015, they relocated to North Haven, at 400 Sackett Point Road. This is where New England ReUse's story begins

New England ReUse moved to an 8,000 SQFT warehouse in North Haven, and had to lug around all of the scrap wood collected over the past decade. This was the third move in 10 years, so at this point Chris son who was working the family business too, got an idea he would sell all miscellaneous reuse materials, and after battling with his father over the name and BARELY managing to dodge ReUse World, New England ReUse was born

During the time of New England reuse performing deconstructions, travelling all over the east coast surveying properties they eventually surgically started taking them apart and saving roughly 100 TONS of material from landfills with just a work van, a CDL, and the sweat of their brow!

A total of 23 deconstructions of residential and commercial properties between 2015 and 2023.
Total of over 600,000 lbs (300 TONS) of material (estimated on the low side) saved from 2015 to 2024. These are the people we owe thanks too….

Chris and Carla, and their children had a love of saving our earth, and after Chris and Carla passed away, Matthew jumped back into the business to try to save what he possibly could, however, without his parents, it was very difficult, and the business inquired a great deal of debt And this is where we are today

New England ReUse was passed on to son Mathew, and Window Master was passed on to his faithful apprentice, Donna. Although they tried hard, both looked at their current situations, and business records, and came to an unfortunate reality: neither Window Master nor New England ReUse could survive without Chris & Carla so they only have 5 days to remove/sell a warehouse full of re-use items to try and pay the very high debt that is due.

Please find it on your heart to donate to this cause. Every dollar, no mattter how big or small will help save the integrity Chris carried and live during his time on Earth.
