I have known Johnna since we were 12 years old. For more than four decades, I have had the privilege of watching her family grow, witnessing firsthand the love, strength, and devotion that defined her mother, Carla. Carla was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose life revolved around her family. Twenty-three years ago, she experienced the devastating loss of her husband, Vern. Faced with raising her children without the partner she loved, Carla carried on with remarkable strength and determination. She worked hard, sacrificed often, and dedicated herself to providing for her family. Through difficult times and joyful ones, Carla remained the steady heart of her family.

 Now, after the unexpected loss of their beloved mother, Johnna, Julia, and Jill are facing not only profound grief but also the financial burden of funeral and related expenses.
