A member of our community Andrew Lynch was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run Thursday night died at a hospital early Monday morning and the alleged driver was arrested Sunday evening.
Andrew Lynch, 57, was struck around 9:20 p.m. on Redwood Road west of Solano Avenue. The female driver of the 2005 Cadillac Escalade briefly got out of the SUV, then got back in and drove away.
Andrew was responded to by caring members of our community who responded and provided comfort and talked with him and stayed by his side until paramedics got there.
We are all terribly saddened and shocked to see such behavior by the suspect but we will not let this take away from Andrews memory.
