Honoring a great man: My father Alfonso Salazar Sr.
Donation protected
It is with great pain and difficulty that I am respectfully informing everyone of the passing of the greatest man I knew who was my father. If you knew Alfonso, Don Poncho, then I needn’t tell you the person that he was you were fortunate to have met him and seen for yourself. He was a great man above all a father, a husband to my mom, a grandfather to my daughter, a father in law to her mother, and a great uncle who looked out for his nieces as if they were his own. He cared for them and I more than what I thought possible to care and love someone. He was the definition of giving true unconditional love in the purest form. In his eyes I never did wrong no matter the mistake he was always there for me when I called not matter the distance no matter the time no matter the situation no questions asked he was there until the very end. The love and sense of security I felt at home because of him can never be felt again it is truly an unexplainable feeling to know that no matter what you need or goes wrong you have your dad to help you out always. There was never a time where even for a second I worried my dad wouldn’t help me. It is why I want to send him off with the sending he deserves and nothing less. He was the ultimate example to what a father should be and is something all dads should aspire to be like. If I could only be half the man he was then I know I would still be a great man. He was truly one of a kind and we should never see his like again on this earth. I ask those that are reading this from the bottom of my heart to aid in anyway you can and help me put my father to rest.
